It is difficult to explain to people calling our office in Tripoli what going on, what means "friendly clashes in Tripoli" , how someone has defined them. Who follows our blog knows that we do not like to talk about "politics" or suggest to Libyans how to solve an 11 yrs. civil struggle.
But, in the meantime, all parties have to understand that after the Ukrainian crisis, Libya is on the top of the list in the Mediterranean contest. So nobody cares if in Rome, Copenaghen, London or Paris there are robberies, criminal actions, the killing of wives and own children making suicide. This news is toilet paper after a couple of days.
So, can we solve the Libyan problems and think about the New Libya that everybody is dreaming of? The new Dubai of North Africa?
All parts have to step back, to make 10 feet ahead together. Tripoli is not Benghazi? The South of Libya wants to decide about its future?
I suggest starting to talk about the United States of Libya or the Confederation of Libya. I live in the Balkans where a long war has divided former Yugoslavia. So why not learn from the past?
Bosnia is a Federation with three different entities.....but I want the best! Let us "copy" Switzerland!!! The highest level of life in Europe with its Confederation.

Libya was the barn of the Roman Empire. Some Libyan coastal areas or South Libya are sensitive to growing wheat and barley . The ideal climate, because rich of fossil water, for greenhouses.
What to say about Tarhuna's hills with its amazing olive trees that remind me of Tuscany or Abruzzi. If I remember, I read about a report in 2010 Libya has more than 8 million olive trees.
But the olive sector must be revitalized.
This can be the future for the Libyan young generation and for the New Libya that everybody is dreaming since 2011......

10th February 2011. Ten years are passed and today I do not want to remind myself what happened until 20th November 2021 when I came back again to Tripoli for the first time.I always thought that Libya is one of the most wonderful countries in the world and its future depends only on my beloved Libyan friends and people.
How much did it cost to the Libyan economy and wealth? If I read a 2020 report of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission we talk about 576 billion U.S. dollars. So,I suggest to all the Libyan parties to take a final decision on how they want to do for the future of Libyan generations.
If Tripoli's interests are so far away from Benghazi's interests or Sabha's willingness to more consideration, why not explore a solution like the Swiss Confederation where three different economies and languages are leaving and growing together or try to have something better than Bosnia&herzegovina, where three "strong&different realities like the Croatian, Serbian and Islamic are not fighting at least since 1995/6??
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LIBYA!!!!!
