On Wednesday, the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) made a technical visit to the emergency power plant project in West Tripoli, to follow up on the work in the project.

The completion of the project is at more than 90% . It will help, in large part, to support the deficit in the electrical grid during the summer peak.

The Ministry of Economy and Trade Muhammad Al Hawij is considering the possibility to reopen or increase complex markets that offer a variety of stores such as foodstuff and other services and goods in Tripoli.

According to the ministry, the project aims to survey and regulate commercial activities in the capital.

The project was discussed during a meeting this week with the president and members of the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, and the director of the ministry's administrative and financial affairs department.

Since 2001, Libya  had to face a lot of struggles and political changes. Two young Libyans Firas El Mortadi and Maged Mahfoud started thinking about how to make projects and business in the construction sector.
In 2004, the first edition of a successful story and project called Libya Build.
Libya Build has been a stakeholder for the Libyan economy, where a generation of Libyans had the chance to meet the international economical world and foreign companies.
On May 30th,we will have the 2022 edition. An edition that has registered the sold-out of the available space at Tripoli International Fair.
Firas and Maged and all the Atex team, like Carlo, Osama, Dania, Shenna, think that Libya Build is not just an event or a simple fair, but, the right place, where to meet the right people, the right ideas&projects, to build the future of  New Peacefull Libya, following the sentence of the French economist Frederic Bastiat:
where goods pass, armies do not pass.

The National Oil Corporation (NOC), under the support of the French company Total Energies, has started installing solar-powered systems to provide electricity in five locations in the country.

The project will provide electricity in the hospitals of the cities of Bin Jawad, Tsawa in Wadi Utbah and Ghat Hospital, in addition to the Faculties of Engineering in Jajhera and the College of Petroleum in Jalo.

It also stressed that generating electricity from renewable and clean energies is one of its most important aim in the coming years.

I am not a blogger or an influencer but just writing a short note about Tripoli's airport has got the reaction of more than 8000 people.

So, it means that Tripoli airport, flight connections, and free moving of the Libyan citizens or people from the rest of the world is a "priority". I could add ,besides renewable energies, agricultural projects and mainly tourism are the future of New Libya.

My best New Year's in my life??? 2006 , down in the Fezzan desert....believe it or not.....

President of NOC National Oil Company doctor Mustafa Sanallah has urged all the top managers of the company to put all their efforts to bring back the oil production up to 3 million barrels/day.

Such production was reached in the 2000's. Doctor Sanallah has underlined  Libya's production is out of the Opec standard indications and this will help the Libyan economy for a faster recovery with new investments in all the country.

In a note, Reuters News Agency has reported the Italian Ecology Transition Minister Roberto Cingolani  and Italian Government is ready to sign a new deal with NOC to get more natural gas.

The Ukrainian war and international sanctions against Russia put Italy in a very difficult situation for its energy needs. Italy imported 40 percent of its energy bill from Russia.

Libya is exporting just 2.5% of the Italian energy bill.

It is difficult to explain to people calling our office in Tripoli what going on, what means  "friendly clashes in Tripoli" , how someone has defined them. Who follows our blog knows that we do not like to talk about "politics" or suggest to Libyans how to solve an 11 yrs. civil struggle.

But, in the meantime, all parties have to understand that after the Ukrainian crisis, Libya is on the top of the list in the Mediterranean contest. So nobody cares if in Rome, Copenaghen, London or Paris there are robberies, criminal actions, the killing of wives and own children making suicide. This news is toilet paper after a couple of days.

So, can we solve the Libyan problems and think about the New Libya that everybody is dreaming of? The new Dubai of North Africa?

All parts have to step back, to make 10 feet ahead together. Tripoli is not Benghazi? The South of Libya wants to decide about its future?

I suggest starting to talk about the United States of Libya or the Confederation of Libya. I live in the Balkans where a long war has divided former Yugoslavia. So why not learn from the past?

Bosnia is a Federation with three different entities.....but I want the best! Let us "copy" Switzerland!!! The highest level of life in Europe with its Confederation.
