2025 LIBYA ENERGY&ECONOMIC SUMMIT

NEW SHOPPING MALL IN BENGHAZI.
A new shopping mall just opened in Benghazi this week. Libya Mall with its five floors and 30.000 squared meters is one of the biggest shopping malls in Africa today. Inside, there are more than 100 brands,10 restaurants and a 200-car parking lot.
DOES RYAN AIR PLAN TO CONNECT LIBYA WITH EUROPE?
The CEO of Irish Ryan Air, Michael O'Leary, the largest airline in Europe in terms of the number of passengers is talking with the authorities in Libya regarding operating flights to the country for the first time.
Such deal will reopen the Libyan skies to the world and give all Libyans to move anywhere in the world without the bottlenecking of Tunis and Istanbul hubs.
LIBYAN AIRLINES BACK TO FULL OPERATIONAL SERVICE.
Libyan Airlines has settled its debts claimed by aircraft maintenance companies. In this way, the airline company will be able to be back to full operational service in the next future.
It noted that several of its planes stationed at international airports had been transferred to the maintenance centers.
Also Afriqiyah Airways said that it had settled its debts owed to maintenance centers, which conducted repair work for its plans, after being grounded for years in airports in Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
AFRIQIYAH FLIES BACK TO HOLY LAND FOR UMRAH.
KSA did not allow to enter the country for Covid to international pilgrims until last August. Good news for Libyan pilgrims, willing to perform Umrah, comes from Afriqiyah Airways.
On Saturday, the airline company has announced it will operate with 19 flights per week from Mitiga,Misurata and Benghazi.
DIGITALIZATION IN LIBYA.NEW PROJECTS.
The Ministry of Planning has launched a digital dashboard for the government's projects and development programs planned for this year.
The objective is to enhance the concepts of transparency and share information on development projects with citizens.
It includes all government expenditures in municipalities, cities, utilities, government institutions, and projects.
MISURATA FREE ZONE.
On January 27th 2022,the Misurata Free zone board has held its first official meeting of the year, to discuss and plan the activities for 2022.
RAMADAN ABU JANAH MEETS THE FRENCH AMBASSADOR.

Today, Mr. Ramadan Abu Janah met the French Ambassador Beatrice Duhlin. Mr. Abu Janah was appointed by PM Abdul Dbeibah as his replacement. Mr. Dbeibah will run for the presidential election on Dec.24th, 2021.
