The Man-Made River Authority (MMRA) will start drilling new wells and filling pipes in the Kufra Al-Serir system at the beginning of  2023.

Salah Al-Saadi, director of MMRA confirmed that the Turkish "Tekfen TML" will drill 186 wells. With this project, all of Libya will get a bigger delivery of drinkable water for home consumption or agriculture purposes.
