The Chairman of the Libyan-Turkish Business Council, Murtaza Karanfil, said Turkish exports to Libya has reached 2.44 billion dollars in 2021: a 64.9% increase from 2020.
The top exporting sectors were chemicals and products with $332 million, followed by the furniture, paper, and forestry products with $298.1 million, and jewelry with $281.8 million, while cereals, pulses, oilseeds products reached $251 million, and clothes with $246.5 million.
"Our trade volume might reach 10 billion dollars,” Karanfil said.

2021 was a positive year for the Libyan Oil&Gas sector. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, Opec based in Wien, said that Libya has surpassed Nigeria as Africa’s biggest oil producer.
Libyan oil output was 1.24 million bpd in October, a fair output increase has been registered month after month in all 2021.
Libyan Deputy Oil Minister, Refaat Al-Abbar said Libya plans to produce more than two million barrels per day in 2022, and 4 million barrels per day by 2025.

The Libyan Labor Minister Ali Al-Abed said Libya will receive about two million Egyptian workers in the next two years.This will help the rebuild of the country especially for infrastructure projects. Also the medical sector and school teaching will receive such support.

Libya on Monday received a new batch of the Pfizer-Covid-19 vaccine, comprising one million and 178 thousand doses, with the support of the US government.
The shipment, which arrived at Mitiga Airport in Tripoli, was received by the Director of the National Center for Disease Control, Haider Al-Sayeh, and the US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, in addition to the UNICEF representative in Libya, Lana Al-Wareikat.
The vaccine batch will undergo analysis and the required procedures before its distribution to vaccination centers, NCDC quoted Al-Sayeh as saying.
